"It was 1991 when I opened my first shop—Aromatica. The first scent I ever made was that fall, in that shop. It was a careful blend of patchouli, vanilla, and musk. It was the scent of fall, the scent of Seattle in 1991 and me.

That fall I spent hours in Cafe Paradiso and The Comet hanging out with cute dirty boys with guitars. The vibe was crushed velvet, clove cigarettes, candles, and Nag Champa.

Seattle was on fire. It was the music and there was a lot of it and it was alive and magical and angry and raw and polished and heavy and bright and fast and sweet and young. I was at every show soaking in the moment. Looking back I think we all knew we were lucky to be there for every second of it. We didn’t need the retrospect to know we were witnessing something special.

The OK hotel was a regular haunt. It had the typical smell of stale beer and cigarettes but it also had the potent scent of the sound splashing toward the windows.  When I think back on these times I remember the smell. Smell is my memory trigger. With that in mind, I decided to recreate the fall of 1991 with Hazel Moon.

Hazel Moon is my youth in a bottle. The masculine sexuality of Patchouli reminds of bar make-outs and scratchy skin. The Vanilla brings youthful feminine sensuality. And the Musk delivers a soft but swift animalistic punch to those guitar-playing boys of my past."

Each bottle of Hazel Moon houses powerful Amazonite crystals for an extra dose of magic .

Amazonite is known as the “hope” stone, and is an excellent manifestation tool. It provides confidence with a spirited “can-do” attitude. You can do anything. Don't forget it.

Perfect for your purse, your boudoir or your altar.

Olivine is all about CLEAN BEAUTY. Their perfumes are phthalate free, paraben free, vegan and cruelty free.

This bottle of perfume is a sacred object.

I would love to suggest a beautiful ritual to use before using your perfume for the very first time…

Spend a moment thinking about an intention that you would like to infuse your perfume with. It could be love, grace, abundance, getting your perfect home, job, love, etc. (Side note...NEVER include another person in this intention, this is all about you and no one else. Promise?)

Hold your perfume bottle between your hands and close your eyes. In your minds eye see the bottle filling up with a pale pink light and see your intention in this pink light. See it, feel it, be in that feeling for a full minute. Now put on your perfume and inhale the scent.

EVERY TIME you put on this perfume I want you to feel into that intention.

You are free to reset the intention on your bottle whenever you like, but it will hold your intention until the bottle is finished.

NOTE: Your 13 Moons Perfume is meant to be used all year round and whenever you feel drawn to the scent or your intention with the scent. It carries the energy of the Sugar Moon, and her energy will be just as delicious every day of the year!

Olivine believes in marrying our physical and metaphysical powers...Our feminine power, and sexuality.

The contemporary witch is our enlightened, rebellious role model.

The number 13 has always been associated with the Goddess and the Divine Feminine.

They embrace our inner mystic--looking to the 13 moons for guidance on our journey.

The 13 moons collection bestows upon you the power of each moon.

For centuries human cultures have given names to the full moon throughout the year. It was common to name the moons based on the behaviors of the plants, animals, crops, weather or season. Many ancient cultures used moon phases and cycles to keep track of the seasons and gave a unique name to each recurring full moon and the mysterious effect it brought.

The Modern Day Witch uses the phases of the moon to enhance her own personal brand of magic. For some it is as simple as putting a crystal on a windowsill under a full moon to cleanse and charge the stone. For others it is a more elaborate dance between the different faces of the moon.

There is no right, wrong or perfect way to celebrate the moon.
