Palimals are a colorful pack of wooden animals that celebrate connection and friendship. Though each Palimal is different in its own special way (just like you!), they’ll always stick together. Their hands have embedded magnets so they can link arms, hold hands, or climb up the fridge. Palimals are happiest when they’re with buddies. Collect them all for the ultimate hang!

Material: Superba, and hardwood, non-toxic paint, cotton rope, hardware and magnet 

Recommended for ages 4 and up.

Store in a cool, dry place. To clean, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. 

Palimals go through 30 careful steps of assembly, from woodwork to hand-painted details. Each character is unique and may have small variations from one to another. Palimals are toys made to be played with. Any dents, scuffs, or scratches they may acquire are signs of love and play, fulfilling Palimals’ purpose of friendship and connection.

Meet the designer: 

Rilla Alexander is a designer and illustrator whose work has appeared on everything from toys and tea cups to busses and buildings. She explores creativity and ideas through graphic forms and bold colors and inspires both children and adults through books, workshops and exhibitions. Her characters dance across Museo del Prado’s ceramics and stationery, populate Swiss credit cards and sleep on the wall of a Copenhagen hotel (where she replaced the bed with a tent).

Rilla’s picture books include The Best Book in the World, Her Idea, and A Bear Sat On My Porch Today. Her illustrations for Swarm of Bees, a book she made with Lemony Snicket, were done using a combination of rubber stamps, ink and digital collage. Originally from Australia, she has lived in London, Berlin, and Portland, and currently calls LA home.
